Choosing Family Day Care was a very easy decision for us. Both of our children have been in care with the most amazing educators who love their job and have now become part of our extended family. We love the small group of children with one educator concept. We automatically feel at home when we drop our children off, knowing they will be cared for and educated in a loving, safe, and playful environment.

Sadly, it is our last year with Family Daycare as both children transition into school next year, however it’s safe to say our cherubs have been in the very best care to thrive in this next phase of their life. We will miss our educators dearly. 

Both of my girls have had the pleasure of attending family day care in the last 5 years! I could never have done it without our lovely ladies! Daycare educators really do become like family, and I have the utmost respect and faith in our educators; to help guide our children as an extension of us as parents, when we cannot physically be there. 

We have been with family day care for 6.5 years, with all 3 of our children attending with the same educator. We find family day care to be a nurturing, loving, happy & safe environment for our children to develop & grow. The children are welcomed into the educator’s home & are provided with one on one care in a small group capacity. They have the opportunity to shine as an individual & are always encouraged to partake in wonderful experiences. Each educator is provided with training, support & guidance from the committee & family day care department

We would be lost without Miss Shell, Michelle is an amazing educator and the kids just love her.  
Our eldest child went to Shell for 3 years and she was our first request for our son, we were thrilled when we heard she had a spot.
I can't recommend Michelle enough; we love being part of her home Daycare family.

When we first met Debbie we were blown away by her kindness, compassion and pure love in nurturing children. It was at that moment we knew family daycare was the way to go.

Emma came to Debbie at four months old, and a year later, followed by Charlie. 
Family daycare gives an incredibly personal experience and provides a caring environment that has enabled our two babies to flourish. Emma and Charlie have been exposed to so many experiences, all under the guidance of an amazing educator.

Every morning Emma and Charlie beam and say “Debbie!”. They run into her house and give her a big cuddle - it’s their second home now and they love Debbie to bits. We couldn’t have asked for a better start to daycare for our babies. Debbie is a member of our family and we are forever grateful to her and the team at Whitsunday Family Daycare for everything they have done, and everything they continue to do for the community.
