My name is Shannon and I live in Bowen. I commenced with Whitsunday Shire Family Day Care as an educator in January 2025 and have been involved in the early childhood sector in childcare centres prior to this.

I love spending my time outdoors—whether it’s fishing, playing netball, or making special memories with my family. We enjoy family holidays, walking our dogs and visiting the lagoon to feed the ducks with my daughter.

Animals are a big part of my life and my family means everything to me. I’m passionate about creating a warm, happy and caring environment where children feel safe, valued and at home.

I offer a spacious and engaging outdoor play area where children can explore, play and enjoy the fresh air. Indoors, my learning environment is always evolving to reflect the interests and needs of the children in care, keeping experiences fresh and exciting.

I’m also currently in the process of creating a dedicated, purpose-built daycare space, which I’m incredibly excited about—it will provide even more opportunities for learning, play, and development.
