My name is Michelle Day and my family day care "Squirrel Squad" is in Proserpine where we offer before and after school care from Proserpine State School and the local kindergartens. I have two wonderful daughters and as a family, we are genuinely excited to welcome children into our home, where we focus on building strong relationships and lasting friendships in a warm, nurturing environment.

Our home features a safe, secure and fully enclosed backyard, thoughtfully set up for before and after school care. Children can enjoy a large covered veranda, which provides the perfect space for a wide range of activities including air hockey, craft, cooking and creative play. There is also plenty of grassy outdoor space where children can run freely, play games and kick a ball.

For quieter moments, children can relax in our peaceful garden area or unwind in a cozy book nook, offering a calm space for rest and downtime after a busy day. I also provide a dedicated craft corner, where children are encouraged to create freely and express their ideas. Gardening is a big part of our program — children enjoy being involved in the full process, from planting seeds to growing cuttings, fostering responsibility, patience and a connection to nature.

As part of my commitment to supporting local families, I offer before and after school care for children in the community. I look forward to providing a safe, engaging and supportive environment where children can thrive, feel a sense of belonging, make friends and truly enjoy their time in our care.
