My name is Katy and I live in the Strathdickie area. I commenced with Whitsunday Shire Family Day Care as an educator in January 2006 and I have been involved in the childcare industry for seventeen years.

I have obtained my Certificate III in Children's Services and my Certificate III in Education Support during this time. I am a married mother of four and have been a local for most of my life. I believe in open and honest communication with my families.

Benefits of being a family day care educator, for me, is working from home and managing my own business and the positive, rewarding individual accomplishments achieved through my drive to enhance children's personal skills and abilities. I enjoy watching the children learn and grow, benefit and acknowledge, create and build confidence, respect and friendships within our open, caring, day care environment.
