JENNY – CANNONVALE

My name is Jenny Menzel.

I have been a registered educator with family day care since 2007. I hold a Diploma of Children's Services (Early Childhood Education and Care) and a Certificate III in education support. I operate my service Monday to Thursday and I am available for overnight care, public holidays and weekends on request.

I follow the EYLF (Early Years Learning Framework) which is all about play based learning where children are encouraged to choose a variety of games and activities suited to their own individual interests and abilities. I love being able to provide a Family Day Care Service from my own home, where I can offer quality care for your children and support you as a parent. I aim to provide a home, away from home, where your children can feel loved and accepted, allowing them to develop special relationships with myself and their day care friends. I believe that children gain their education from a combination of educators, teachers, parents and also from the community.

Our two story townhouse is child friendly, safe and secure. It is solid block with three bedrooms upstairs, kitchen, lounge, toilet, laundry and playroom downstairs with a level shady, fully fenced yard for your children to play in. My teenage son lives with me and we both hold current Working with Children, Child Safety Blue Cards.

I also have 9 years experience working as a disability support person for children and young adults with a variety of support needs.

I will always keep your children safe and make their day fun and interesting for them.

BECOME AN EDUCATOR!

Perhaps you have not been working while you care for your own children? Or you could be looking for a change of direction?

If you enjoy the company of children and want to make a difference in their lives by providing quality care and learning experiences from your own home, then family day care may be the right career choice for you.

Operating a Family Day Care business gives you a unique opportunity to work from home as your own boss, choosing the hours you work, and potentially earning a very good income.

Our coordinators are here to advise you and help you through every step of the process, not just while you are setting up, but also when your business is up and running. An educator must hold an early childhood qualification such as a Certificate III in Children's Services or higher, or be willing to study. It is a requirement that all educators hold or are working towards obtaining a minimum of Certificate III in Children's Services.

We are looking to provide Family Day Care in all areas of the Whitsunday region and we want to talk to you.
