WENDY – STRATHDICKIE

My name is Wendy and I have been a family day care educator with Whitsunday Shire Family Day Care since January 2005. My husband and I are both locals with three grown children and we live in the beautiful green hills of Strathdickie.

When you leave your child in my care, you will know that your child is in a loving home where you can feel at ease that your child will be treated with the same love and respect that you treat your treasured child with in your home. I offer a nurturing, loving and positive environment, where each child can receive the love and attention they need, whilst at the same time being exposed to other children, new experiences and activities.

My chosen career in Family Day Care has been the most rewarding and worthwhile experience for myself and my family. While working I have also been able to achieve my Certificate III in Children's Services. I really enjoy being a Family Day Care Educator as I am given the chance to play with the children, have fun, and enjoy immense job satisfaction all at the same time.

BECOME AN EDUCATOR!

Perhaps you have not been working while you care for your own children? Or you could be looking for a change of direction?

If you enjoy the company of children and want to make a difference in their lives by providing quality care and learning experiences from your own home, then family day care may be the right career choice for you.

Operating a Family Day Care business gives you a unique opportunity to work from home as your own boss, choosing the hours you work, and potentially earning a very good income.

Our coordinators are here to advise you and help you through every step of the process, not just while you are setting up, but also when your business is up and running. An educator must hold an early childhood qualification such as a Certificate III in Children's Services or higher, or be willing to study. It is a requirement that all educators hold or are working towards obtaining a minimum of Certificate III in Children's Services.

We are looking to provide Family Day Care in all areas of the Whitsunday region and we want to talk to you.
