SARA – PROSERPINE

My name is Sara and my Family Day Care "Little Sprouts" is located in Proserpine. I am currently studying my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education which will be completed this year.

I will be offering a nurturing and loving indoor/outdoor home environment where children can learn and grow through play and creation.

Our indoor play will consist of learning early years skills such as social/emotional development, math skills, colours, shapes and problem solving through; cooking, role play, puzzles, music, building stations, play dough and craft.

Outdoors we will further develop these skills and our gross motor skills through climbing and crawling spaces, chalkboard, water play, lots of shade and most importantly - space to run and have fun with our little friends! We are excited to get messy outside and our gardens will be an important part of our day. At Little Sprouts we have homegrown fruits and a vegetable garden which the children will be encouraged to taste, dig, plant and learn about everyday.

I have my own two little girls who enjoy the Family Day Care children who come to visit each day.

We look forward to meeting you.

CURRENT VACANCIES: Monday - CLOSED, Tuesday - FULL, Wednesday - FULL, Thursday - FULL, Friday - FULL

BECOME AN EDUCATOR!

Perhaps you have not been working while you care for your own children? Or you could be looking for a change of direction?

If you enjoy the company of children and want to make a difference in their lives by providing quality care and learning experiences from your own home, then family day care may be the right career choice for you.

Operating a Family Day Care business gives you a unique opportunity to work from home as your own boss, choosing the hours you work, and potentially earning a very good income.

Our coordinators are here to advise you and help you through every step of the process, not just while you are setting up, but also when your business is up and running. An educator must hold an early childhood qualification such as a Certificate III in Children's Services or higher, or be willing to study. It is a requirement that all educators hold or are working towards obtaining a minimum of Certificate III in Children's Services.

We are looking to provide Family Day Care in all areas of the Whitsunday region and we want to talk to you.
