BRIDGETTE – GUNYARRA

Hello, my name is Bridgette and I a married mum of four with two teen stepdaughters and two young children. I am located a short ten minute drive south of Proserpine at Gunyarra. My home offers a quiet, country setting with horses, cows and chickens. We enjoy lots of outdoor time in an open grassed play area and we plan to add vegetable gardens and flowering plants in the near future.

I began childcare so I could stay home with my own children whilst earning an income and to open our home to other families and children. I am currently Studying Cert III Early Childhood Education and Care.

I believe in a holistic approach with the children at my childcare provided in a warm, safe environment with flexible, play-based program that is ever changing to suit the interests and needs of each individual.

When children are growing, it is important to care for their whole self: their mind, body and spirit. Each aspect of life and learning is connected, whether it is encouraging confidence, teaching numbers or helping them stay healthy.

When we incorporate a holistic perspective into early learning, we are supporting the entire being of each child. We are letting them have the best chance at a rich life, because we are considering the full spectrum of their physical, social, emotional, cognitive and personal journeys.

I look forward to watching each child grow into their own confident, capable little person.

Vacancies Available: Tuesday 1 Space, Thursday 1 Space for a child over the age of 1 to suit the dynamics of the children.

Please call 49452422 if you would like to put your name on the waiting list.

To do this, we need more Family Day Care Educators.

  • Training
  • Placement of Children from our extensive Wait List
  • Administration
  • Professional child care advice from our highly trained Coordinators and Educational Leaders

  • Networking, playgroups, shows to attend and lots more...

Perhaps you have not been working while you care for your own children? Or you could be looking for a change of direction?

If you enjoy the company of children and want to make a difference in their lives by providing quality care and learning experiences from your own home, then family day care may be the right career choice for you.

Operate your Family Day Care business and enjoy the unique opportunity to work from home as your own boss, choosing the hours you work, and potentially earning a very good income.

Our coordinators are here to advise you and help you through every step of the process, not just while you are setting up, but also when your business is up and running. An educator must hold an early childhood qualification such as a Certificate III in Children's Services or higher, or be willing to study. It is a requirement that all educators hold or are working towards obtaining a minimum of Certificate III in Children's Services.
