Hi, my name is Sherena, although children call me Rene as it is easier for them to say and remember.

You can view my Facebook business page on the following link below:

Rene's Sanctuary

I have more than two years experience in the Early Years Childhood Sector and during this time I have obtained my Cert III in Early Childhood Education and Care. I plan to further my studies and obtain my Diploma whilst being a Family Day Care Educator.

My husband, Brendan and I, along with our two school aged daughters live in our three bedroom home in Jubilee Pocket. We have converted the large dining room into the play and learn space that your child can enjoy. This space flows freely onto my large undercover patio and big, grassy yard. In our home we have a very friendly, loving cat named Dabby and my two child friendly, outside dogs named Dalilah and Ruby. The dogs are in a fenced off part of the yard and will only interact with the children when planned into the program with permission from families.  I am very excited to share my home with your children.

I offer a family environment where your child will learn through play and each child will learn at their own pace with guidance and encouragement from me. I believe the first five years of a child's life are the most important and I will be honored to be chosen to be the person to care for your child.

Perhaps you have not been working while you care for your own children? Or you could be looking for a change of direction?

If you enjoy the company of children and want to make a difference in their lives by providing quality care and learning experiences from your own home, then family day care may be the right career choice for you.

Operating a Family Day Care business gives you a unique opportunity to work from home as your own boss, choosing the hours you work, and potentially earning a very good income.

Our coordinators are here to advise you and help you through every step of the process, not just while you are setting up, but also when your business is up and running. An educator must hold an early childhood qualification such as a Certificate III in Children's Services or higher, or be willing to study. It is a requirement that all educators hold or are working towards obtaining a minimum of Certificate III in Children's Services.

We are looking to provide Family Day Care in all areas of the Whitsunday region and we want to talk to you.
