My name is Stacey and I have over six years of experience in the Early Childhood sector. During this time, I have worked with children of all ages and in variety of different environments. My experience has a combination of "Before and After School Care", nannying, kindergarten age group and as a Lead Educator.

I have recently embraced my new journey as a family day care educator in the Jubilee Pocket area. My home is purposely set up for family daycare and contains a free flow between the indoor and outdoor environment. My home is a place of fun, learning and growth to beautiful families in my community.

I am a strong believer that the early years are the most important years for a child to establish their sense of belonging. I love the opportunities family day care offer to the individual with the smaller ratios and ability to provide intimate, one on one sessions and more specific programming to be able to extend on interests and personalise learning within the smaller group setting. I love the flexibility and home environment family day care provides whilst allowing opportunities for excursions and playgroups. The mixed age groups provide a different dynamic and I love being able to cater for the school ages also.

Relationships with families are a very important aspect of the child's growth and development and I strive to establish these connections with my families to have an open and respectful network in place. Everyone is always welcome in my home.

Perhaps you have not been working while you care for your own children? Or you could be looking for a change of direction?

If you enjoy the company of children and want to make a difference in their lives by providing quality care and learning experiences from your own home, then family day care may be the right career choice for you.

Operating a Family Day Care business gives you a unique opportunity to work from home as your own boss, choosing the hours you work, and potentially earning a very good income.

Our coordinators are here to advise you and help you through every step of the process, not just while you are setting up, but also when your business is up and running. An educator must hold an early childhood qualification such as a Certificate III in Children's Services or higher, or be willing to study. It is a requirement that all educators hold or are working towards obtaining a minimum of Certificate III in Children's Services.

We are looking to provide Family Day Care in all areas of the Whitsunday region and we want to talk to you.
