RYLEY – PROSERPINE

Hello, my name is Ryley. I have lived in the Whitsundays since 2011. I live with my husband Nathan and my two energetic little boys Roman and Mitchell. I have worked in childcare centres since 2012 and have made the career move to Family Day Care to provide a more suitable work/home balance for my family.

I believe that children under five learn mostly through play. The play experiences I will be providing will be both indoor and outdoor based and will relate to all developmental domains: physical, social, emotional, cognitive and communication. Children are deeply interested in the world around them and I believe they should be encouraged to explore their curiosities and interests in a fun and safe environment. I strive to encourage children to become confident within themselves at every stage of learning. I believe working with families is one of the most important parts of being an educator and keeping communication between educator and families open and positive.

Vacancies Currently Available: Monday - FULL , Tuesday - FULL, Wednesday - FULL, Thursday - FULL, Friday - CLOSED

BECOMING A FAMILY DAY CARE EDUCATOR

Want a home-based career and to make a difference?

As part of our commitment to providing quality care for families, Whitsunday Shire Family Day Care is expanding our local Family Day Care scheme, a network of self-employed educators providing home-based quality child care that provides a familiar, safe and secure learning environment with a maximum of four children (0-5 years) in care.

To do this, we need more Family Day Care Educators.

Initial set up costs are low. Let Whitsunday Shire Family Day Care provide you with the tools to set up your new business:

  • Training
  • Placement of Children from our extensive Wait List
  • Administration
  • Professional child care advice from our highly trained Coordinators and Educational Leaders
  • Personal visits and telephone support
  • Networking, playgroups, shows to attend and lots more...

Perhaps you have not been working while you care for your own children? Or you could be looking for a change of direction?

If you enjoy the company of children and want to make a difference in their lives by providing quality care and learning experiences from your own home, then family day care may be the right career choice for you.

Operate your Family Day Care business and enjoy the unique opportunity to work from home as your own boss, choosing the hours you work, and potentially earning a very good income.

Our coordinators are here to advise you and help you through every step of the process, not just while you are setting up, but also when your business is up and running. An educator must hold an early childhood qualification such as a Certificate III in Children's Services or higher, or be willing to study. It is a requirement that all educators hold or are working towards obtaining a minimum of Certificate III in Children's Services.

We are looking to provide Family Day Care in all areas of the Whitsunday region and we would love to talk to you.
