SHARNE – WOODWARK

My name is Sharne Lightfoot and I am an educator in the Cannonvale area. I hold my Certificate III in children Children's Services and I have over 7 years experience working within the Early Childhood setting. My daughter, Paige and I live on two acres in beautiful bush land at Woodwark, just a few minutes from Whitsunday Plaza.

I encourage the children's learning through play by providing for their interests and expanding their knowledge and skills, promoting resilience, a sense of belonging, self worth, secure attachments and warm trusting relationships.

I strive to provide positive experiences through quality programming to all children in my care, regardless of background, beliefs or physical and mental abilities. I have travelled extensively throughout the world and love expanding my own knowledge through learning new languages and cultures. We all have something to contribute to our world.

I am excited to connect with and include families wherever possible.

BECOME AN EDUCATOR!

Perhaps you have not been working while you care for your own children? Or you could be looking for a change of direction?

If you enjoy the company of children and want to make a difference in their lives by providing quality care and learning experiences from your own home, then family day care may be the right career choice for you.

Operating a Family Day Care business gives you a unique opportunity to work from home as your own boss, choosing the hours you work, and potentially earning a very good income.

Our coordinators are here to advise you and help you through every step of the process, not just while you are setting up, but also when your business is up and running. An educator must hold an early childhood qualification such as a Certificate III in Children's Services or higher, or be willing to study. It is a requirement that all educators hold or are working towards obtaining a minimum of Certificate III in Children's Services.

We are looking to provide Family Day Care in all areas of the Whitsunday region and we want to talk to you.
